Austin’s Perspective

Laura is my cute little sister with Down syndrome. Her cheeks are chubby and so is her tummy. She is a wonderful blessing to our family. She is my pal at one year old. When it was football season she would just sit on my lap and watch with me. Laura is wonderful. She is a great sister and here is what happened when I first met her. We arrived at the hospital just like I did with my two other sisters. When we got to to her room my mom said “”You know she might have Down syndrome.”” I said “”Yeah, I know. Can I hold her now?”” I really didn’t mind she had Down syndrome and I still don’t. She’s now one year old and is cute as she ever was. She does tons of stuff with me. I can’t imagine our family without Laura now. She is a wonderful baby.
